Handedness: The shield only functions properly when wielded in one hand.

Special: You have cover. When you use a standard action to do something other than Cower, Assault, Ranged Guard, or Melee Guard, the shield stops granting you cover until the beginning of your next turn. When a creature would hit you with a melee attack, you may inflict one wound on the shield to take one less wound from the attack.
