Cactoad

A Cactoad is a sort of cross between a cactus and a toad. It deals +2 damage with unarmed attacks, and when it is struck with an unarmed attack, the attacker takes 1d6+1 Physical damage. The cactoad also has a spine tongue attack, which deals 1d8-1 damage, has a range of 20m/100m, and on a successful wound pulls the target adjacent to the cactoad. It can let loose a tremendous, skull-shattering croak as a heavy weapon, attacking all other creatures within a 10 meter blast for 1d10 Noise damage, deafening creatures for one round per wound: this attack has an auditory stealth of -2.

The cactoad is not particularly smart, and cannot speak.

Advancement

The Cactoad may be given up to three abilities, with no more than two from any given category, for 6 points each.

Cactode (10 points): The Cactoad's croak is as soothing as it is loud. Any creature wounded by it must make a DC 6 Will save or be stunned for 1 round. The radius of its croak increases by 5 meters.

Cactrodes (15 points): Certain species of Cactoad have bulbs at the ends of their spines. These Cactoads, when struck with any attack by a creature 10 meters or less away, deal 1d6 Electricity damage to that creature. This replaces the damage for being struck by an unarmed attack that Cactoads normally deal. The Cactoad gets a +2 Factor bonus to Perception.
