Harmonic Wave Device
Weapon
Coins 150
Weight 3 kilograms
Technologies: Directed Sound
Reload Time: Recharging takes 1 round per 2 Power.
Ammunition: It costs 1 Power per round of damage, and can store up to 5 Power.
Handedness: Can only be used one-handed.
Effects: When it deploys, the Harmonic Wave Device damages whatever structure it is attached to, attacking that material specifically with a 30 meter blast that travels inside and only inside the material and does not hit targets outside of the material. The blast hits automatically and deals 1d6+4 Noise damage on the first round, and gets +1 Noise damage for every consecutive round.
The Harmonic Wave Device has a wireless connection, which may be activated or deactivated as a standard action. If it's armed, the creature must have a password or Hack the device in order to change the wireless without deploying the device.
The Harmonic Wave Device has a Hackability Score of 6, and detonates when it detects a hacking attempt.
Special: Placing the Harmonic Wave Device is a heavy attack. When placed, you may choose the detonation method:
Timed: The Harmonic Wave Device explodes after a specified period of time.
Remote: The Harmonic Wave Device uses a wireless connection to accept a detonation command. Falsifying a detonation command has a difficulty of 4. Sending the real detonation command is a cheap action.
Tripmine: The Harmonic Wave Device uses an auditory perception of 1 to observe its surroundings. When it detects a creature or vehicle over a specified size, it detonates. Tripmine mode does not start until 2 rounds after the Harmonic Wave Device is placed.
